On Sunday May 24th 2000, we celebrated Bob Brown's 80th Birthday! What a treat.
People brought chocolate chip cookies, poems, stories, and tons of love to share.
Thanks to Paul Burks, we have a few photos we can share. We sorely miss Bob,
who passed away in the Summer of 2001. Visit the memorial page.

"Bob?" Sydney called out very late one night. "What do you think is our secret for having been able to stay together all these years, still loving each other like we do."

"Sydney," Bob replied, "by not asking questions like that in the middle of the night!"

"At the very young age of 60, Bob decided to learn to play the Cello. Soon, the group known as the ABCs started rehearsing and playing. Bob was a natural. Now, the group might be called the ABCDK and the're still playing those Christmas Carols!"

Diana read a proclamation from the Session that named May 24th "Chocolate Chip Day" forever! Someone grabbed a book of order to see if this was legal, but the pages were all smudged with chocolate.

Considering Bob's involvement in Vatican II many years back, perhaps one might consider him as a contender for the next Pope! How about that, a Presbyterian Pope?

There were two tables loaded with cookies. When the party was done, there were enough leftover cookies to last Bob and Sydney another 80 years or so! We love you both very much. Happy 80th Bob.
