Christmas Connections


It’s time again for Christmas Connections, our annual effort to offer gifts of time and money to those less fortunate during the holiday season.  Please join us this year in our annual collection to provide gifts for the Day Worker Center of Mountain View.

Tangible Gifts:

*Monetary donations: For the purchase of dinner ingredients, socks, toiletries, gift cards, and work gloves.  All remaining funds will be donated to the Day Worker Center. Monetary donations gratefully accepted via:

  • Online: See the “Donate” button at the bottom of this page. Please type “Christmas Connections” in the comment box.
  • Checks: Please make checks payable to First Presbyterian Church of Palo Alto with “Christmas Connections” on the memo line. Checks may be brought to the Christmas Connections table in the Narthex or mailed to the church.
  • Cash: Please bring to the Christmas Connections table in the Narthex.

*Christmas Cookies: For the Christmas celebration on Tuesday, Dec. 6. Cookies can either be purchased or baked by you. Each year, these are a big hit at the party!

*Items to Purchase:

  • $25 gift cards: to Mi Pueblo grocery stores or Target
  • Small gifts for Santa’s Basket, such as : Pez dispensers (with extra candy), small jars of Play-doh, stickers, small balls, small toiletries, lip balm, etc.

Gifts will be collected in the Narthex (the back of the sanctuary) both before and after the 10:30 worship service on Nov. 20, Nov. 27, and Dec. 4.

Gifts of Time & Fellowship

Dinner and Christmas Celebration, Tuesday, Dec. 6: Come and share a meal and play games.  We’ll distribute bags of toiletries, socks, and edible treats. Please sign up in the Narthex.

5:00-6:00pm: Santa and photos
6:00-7:00pm: Dinner (prepared by people at the Center)
7:00-8:00pm: Games (we will play Loteria, which is like Bingo. It’s really fun!)
