Crop Walk 2006
| |
CROP WALKS help children and families worldwide -- and right
here in the U.S. -- to have food for today, while building for
a better tomorrow. Each year more than 2.5 million CROPWALKERS,
volunteers, and sponsors put their hearts and soles in motion,
raising over $16 million to help stop hunger around the world
-- and in their own communities. And you are part of it!

Here's this year's First Presbyterian Crop Walk
team! They helped to raise $650.
| |
Joy Sleizer took the lead in recruiting folks and getting the
word out so that others could sponsor the team.
| |
Unreported until now, the hat-catching activity has been gaining
quite a bit of popularity lately!

Hmmmm........ you look like you could use a hat..... maybe I
can snag one in the hat-catching contest!
| |
You've got to be well fed to do the long walk.... and the walk
helps people get fed so it is kind of like Simba in the Lion King....
the circle of life!
| |
On the Crop Walk it does help if you keep your eyes on the rest
of the walkers. In this case, our intrepid team looks a little
bit lost!
| |
Just turn left at Mountain View, go past the Frosty Freeze in
Sunnyvale, and I'm sure you'll catch up with the Crop Walkers
in San Jose (better have a bit to eat and wear a hat though.....)
Thanks to the 1st. Pres. Team for representing us at the Crop
Walk!
