A young boy sat in temple, quietly sad because he couldn't yet read Hebrew and didn't know any of the prayers well enough to participate. Soon, the cantor was singing Avinu Malkeinu, one of the most powerful songs of the Yom Kippor service and the boy couldn't sit still. Suddenly he jumped from his seat, took a whistle out of his pocket, and blew it over and over again. The cantor stopped singing and the crowd glared at the boy, until the cantor smiled and exclaimed "Make a joyful noise unto God!"

Our choir certainly lives out that call, and you are invited to be one of our joyous noisemakers.

The Choir is looked at, by those who are members, as a solid commitment to participate in worship regularly and fully.  Rehearsals are most Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30. Our work on these nights can range from prolonged warm-up and vocalizing, to touching on each of the 10-20 pieces we are learning for the music year, to spending considerable time on one of the more challenging pieces.

We celebrate our community with refreshments once a month.

We meet each Sunday morning, before worship, at 10:30 to warmup the morning anthem.

Who should join the choir? Anyone who has an eagerness to minister to the community-at-large by providing their voice in praising God.

All choir parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) are welcome.

Our Children's Choir is pure joy! Their courage, dedication to practice, and utter willingness to learn bring us all great joy. provide us with offerings of their special talent at every possible opportunity.

We're a fun group, and ...
          we promise we won't bite!
