Many members and friends of our congregation gathered at City Hall to rally for peace on December 22nd. The flag shown here was designed by the Sanos.

Muslims, Jews, and Christians praying for peace together.

We huddled together in the cold and sang songs of peace and freedom.

Organizers encouraged people to bring their whole families. All generations were represented on this day!

Rabbi Shelly Lewis (a long-time friend of our congregation) and a Muslim boy prayed together from their common sacred texts.

Jeff Vamos helped introduce the speakers.

Christianity was well represented by Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Catholics, Quakers, and Lutherans.

Pastor Jones from our sister congregation, Covenant Presbyterian Church, led the music program.

The candlelight portion of the service was incredibly moving. Seen here are a group of Muslim children, praying for peace.

Blessed are the peacemakers, young and old. May we all pray for peace in the coming year.
