This Sunday is the beginning of Advent and this year, my first year with you all, we are going to address some of the more difficult areas of life today: A Word of Hope in a World of Hurt. We will address four topics over our four weeks: Hope & Asylum Seeking, Peace & Gun Violence, Joy & Poverty, Love and Gender Fluidity. You can see the map of the series here, but please take carve out this month to be with us as we prepare for the birth of the Christ Child.
On this first Sunday of Advent in Adult Study and Worship, we will explore the complexities of what it means to welcome those seeking refuge and safety. Using Hebrews 13:1-2 we will explore the expansive nature of family and welcome.
We will also welcome The Day Worker’s Center and will be taking a special offering to support their good work in the community.
Please be sure to share our Facebook Event.
