This April 22nd will be the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. Throughout the month we’ll be posting various climate actions that you can take. We’ll celebrate Earth Day in worship on Sunday, April 26th. Here are at least three possibilities for this week.
- Watch the feature film The Human Element. Earth Vision has decided to offer a link to view the film for free online during Faith Climate Action Week to all Interfaith Power & Light congregations, organizations, and individuals.
Sign up here to receive the link to view on April 17, good through April 26.
In this arresting new documentary, environmental photographer James Balog, of Chasing Ice fame, captures the lives of everyday Americans on the front lines of climate change.
- Listen to an inspiring webinar on Climate Change in the Era of Covid-19. The Woods Hole Research Center, which studies climate change impacts around the world, compares the novel coronavirus pandemic to climate change at warp speed. Heather Goldstone explores connections between the COVID-19 and climate crises – including the need to ensure that pandemic response policies also advance climate preparedness.
