People have been asking where to give donations these days and so I’m publishing a list of some local Social Justice partners who are serving “the least among us”. FPCPA has given some donations, but these organizations also depend on individual contributions.
At its April meeting, Session approved donating $15K, above and beyond the usual Social Justice Budget, to be split between these four organizations:
Day Worker Center dayworkercentermv.org
Ecumenical Hunger Project ehpcares.org
Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity im4humanintegrity.org
Puente mypuente.org
Social Justice approved donating these organizations during 2020:
Downtown Streets Team We recommend direct donations of food to the Food Closet.
Heart & Home Collaborative (Women’s Shelter) hhcollab.org/donate/
LifeMoves (Hotel de Zink, etc.) lifemoves.org
South Bay Sanctuary Covenant southbaysanctuarycovenant.weebly.com/donations.html
Trans Heartline transheartline.org
Youth Community Service youthcommunityservice.org
As always, Presbyterian Peace Fellowship (presbypeacefellowship.org) and More Light Presbyterians ( mlp.org ) continue to do important work during these challenging times.
