There are so many things that we want to share with the world and one another, but it seems as if there are more ways to share than ever. Honestly, it is overwhelming and sometimes easier to just keep doing what we are doing.
During our retreat time, we will look at high-level questions about audience, content, and design, as well as begin to think through particular strategies that can be implemented. In particular, we will explore congregational best practices for using Facebook, Newsletters, Instagram, Twitter, and a few more like Buffer and Canva.
Thing is, we have amazing and powerful stories to share — individually and congregationally — but we may not always do so in the most effective and efficient ways. One of the passions and strengths that I have is about communicating our stories with one another and the community. The best way do this is not solely about understanding delivery mechanisms, generating great content, or knowing our audience, but finding the right place of harmony between them all. In other words, we must find engaging and achievable ways to share our versions of the Gospel in ways that make sense to who we are now and who we hope to become in the future.
This is exciting stuff and I that this will be fun, fun fun!
Please bring laptops, tablets, smartphones and, if possible, access to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We will also be using www.buffer.com and www.canva.com if you want to sign-up beforehand.
We will provide coffee and hot water if folks could bring snacks to share.
So we can get a sense of who will be there, PLEASE RSVP HERE.
We will begin promptly at 9:00 and finish at noon.
Thanks,
Bruce
