Holiday Donations 2021

Several of our partner organizations have had extraordinary requests for their resources this year and have responded quickly to new ways of operating. They will have holiday drives, although some of them have had to forgo normal celebrations. The Social Justice Ministry urges you to consider donating to one or more of these Holiday drives and we will contribute to all of them.

The Day Worker Center of Mountain View
113 Escuela Avenue, Mountain View, CA, 94040

For the holidays, the DWC will give out gift cards to La Plaza (grocery store) and Target, and will do a very limited, socially-distanced distribution of toys to children. You can donate online through their website, but they prefer checks with “Gift Cards” in the memo line.

LifeMoves Opportunity SERVICES Center
Drop off donations at the OSC at 33 Encina Avenue, Palo Alto
Make checks out to LiveMoves and mail to: OSC, P.0.Box 213, Palo Alto, CA  94301. Write “Attn: Philip Dah” on the envelope and “OSC Holiday Drive” in the memo line. Questions? Contact Lilianna at 831-869-9150 or

This year the OC will be holding a holiday shopping event for their homeless clients. They ask for new, unwrapped gifts, or gift cards. You can also donate money for them to buy the items. They ask for donations by Friday, December 10. Here is a list of their Most Needed Items:

  • Sleeping bags, sleeping mats, blankets, backpacks, umbrellas, rain ponchos
  • Underwear and socks for men or women
  • Warm coats or heavy hoodies (adult sizes)
  • Gift Cards for gas, Walmart, Target, Safeway

There is an Amazon Wishlist specifically for the OSC Holiday drive:
