Stewardship is a part of Christian discipleship, involving every aspect of life. It is more than giving money to the church. It is about making choices as individuals and in community. It is about being faithful, caring for, and managing all that God has given us.
Stewardship is the grateful response to God’s grace and goodness. It requires a consideration of how our choices affect us and others, of how we can be good caretakers of Creation, and of how we can best serve God as disciples of Christ.
The 2019 Stewardship Program was launched with a series of “Minutes for Stewardship” given by diverse members of our Church family. With an interruption for our 125th Anniversary celebration, the Stewardship Program will continue with letters from our Pastors that will include pledge cards. The culmination of our 2019 Stewardship Program will be a gala luncheon on November 18, immediately after corporate worship. The entire First Pres family and friends are invited to attend and encouraged to bring their completed pledge cards.
