The First Pres Young(er) Adults are a group of college/graduate students and young professionals in our twenties and thirties who like to get together for study, discussion, service, and fun. We are an open group and love to welcome new members!
We excited to launch again this fall quarter! The fellowship will meet twice a month. At the first meeting each month, a young adult hosts and leads a fellowship meal based in scripture and theological discourse. These are typically on Sunday evenings.
The second meeting is reserved for “God in the Bay” outings, which intentionally explore God’s presence in the Bay Area through trips to various sites and institutions. These typically happen on Friday evenings, and require an RSVP at least two weeks prior.
Contact leaders Alyson Melzer (email@example.com) or Caroline Lebar (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you’d like to participate in meals or outings. We also have a Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/youngadultsfprespa/
Here is our schedule for the current quarter:
9/28 SLAC Tour: In The Beginning God Created the Universe… By Way of the Elements
10/14 6:00-8:00, Dinner and discussion
With Halloween just around the corner, we are also looking forward to contributing to our neighborhood’s celebration! On the Sunday before Halloween we will decorate the sanctuary and prepare some crafts over dinner. Then we will all gather together again on Halloween night (costumes encouraged!) to hand out candy, carve pumpkins, and provide fun crafts, spooky sanctuary ambiance (with thematic organ music by Andy!) and gender-neutral bathrooms for trick-or-treaters, sharing a loving and festive presence with our neighbors.
